Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax responses of police officers in response to DUI instances in Charleston led to an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year award for all South Carolina media. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative journalist. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. In addition, she serves as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows to The Emmys And The Golden Globes. The other shows she has hosted include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
