Though the mantra of hands faces will certainly remain a part of our daily program, it's clear that confidence is building and face-to-face reconnections are happening. Rotary has, however, changed. In the summer months in 2021 there remains a continuing level of uncertainty regarding how our work with society includes the highly valued interpersonal connections that have been enjoyed by Rotary participants in the past. It is not clear if the mantra "hands meet in front of each other" will become an integral part of our routine however, it is clear that there's a rising faith and determination to meet face-to-face. It is also gratifying to know that our Rotary Support Centre staff continues to offer valuable tools that help promote these many projects as well as ensure that the infrastructure is maintained to keep people and members safe as compliance and insurance is essential. We are aware that volunteering through the network of Rotary will create lasting bonds based on the shared experience of volunteering time to serve the community gain. The creativity of our members and creative thinking when it comes to dealing with some of life's most challenging problems is astounding. I am thankful for the opportunity that Rotary provided me in 2002 with the opportunity to become a part of the club.
